Loyola’s Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Chamber Ensembles perform together in this night of exciting, swinging music.
The Jazz Ensemble, directed by Scott Burns, is a large ensemble of approximately 17 members. Providing students the opportunity to further their musicianship through the study of jazz, a uniquely American art form, the ensemble works in a variety of styles ranging from historically significant pieces to modern works.
Jazz Chamber Ensembles are small jazz groups of 2-6 members, with variable instrumentation. These ensembles are coached by various music department faculty members.
