About Morgan Pirtle:
Morgan Pirtle is an independent singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Chicago. She naturally blends jazz with other contemporary influences, painting ethereal and impactful soundscapes with her music. In the words of Ryan Rosenberger, “conceptual and introspective, with each song of hers serving as a tightly-woven meditation on a certain aspect of herself.” She is often compared to singers like Norah Jones and Rachael Price. Garnering praise as DownBeat Student Music Award recipient and a Luminarts Fellow in Jazz, Pirtle continues the trajectory of her musical journey through collaborations and new music. Aside from her personal releases, she can be heard on projects by Makena Hartlin, Da$htone, Blindboy & others. When she is not making music, you can find her baking, gardening, hiking, rock climbing, cuddling with her dog Tucker, or volunteering at One Tail at a Time. About Rotten Mums:
ROTTEN MUMS is the duo project of Leslie Beukelman (vocals / keys / guitar / trumpet) and Jim Tashjian (vocals / guitar / bass).  The two have collaborated on several projects over many years on the Chicago music scene.  They’ve lent their various talents and production sensibilities to bands such as The Oh Yeahs, Storm Jameson, Hood Smoke, Miss Remember, District 97, and a smattering of others along the way.  ROTTEN MUMS are gratefully embedded in a lush garden. Along their primrose path are ghostly nostalgic melodies and songs cultivated from human experiences and years of musical trial and error.  Into this garden, they invite thee.
