The last album The Beatles ever recorded as a band, Abbey Road is perhaps their most fully realized composition. It remains their best-selling studio album and contains some of their most recognizable songs, but Abbey Road is defined by the multi-movement symphonic construction and motivic development of its second half. Nearing the 50th anniversary of its release, Heisenberg Uncertainty Players are performing John Dorhauer’s arrangements of every song from Abbey Road. Some arrangements sound pretty close to the originals, while others will invite listeners to reimagine these classic songs in new and exciting ways. In keeping with Abbey Road’s ambitious approach to large-scale form, these arrangements are intended to function together as a unit, blending unique perspectives with warm nostalgia along the way....
