The CD is under both Kim and Phil DeGreg's name. It is a tribute to the music of Monk. The CD is just released on Summit Records called "Melodious Monk" - A New Look At An Old Master.
The evening will feature:
Kim Pensyl - trumpet
Phil DeGreg - piano
Rusty Burge - vibes
Rick VanMatre - sax
Doug Richeson - bass
Everyone playing that night played on the CD.
John Taylor - drums- will be added for the gig even though we didn't use drums on the recording to get into some more hard-hitting areas
