The CJO kicks off its “Women in Jazz” Season Series with 7-time Grammy winner Maria Schneider. Maria, a NEA Jazz Master has long been hailed as one of jazz’s finest large ensemble composers, with her works featured by her own ensemble, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and even David Bowie. Maria’s latest album “Data Lords” was NPR’s Jazz Album of the Year and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
