That was twenty years ago, and since then, Cliff has remained true to those words. He began piano lessons at the age of nine and was composing music just a few years later. With both classical and jazz music being strong influences, he decided early on to integrate the two genres into his own unique style. In Cleveland, Cliffs hometown, he has regularly performed at Nordstrom in Beachwood, The Bop Stop, Nighttown in Cleveland Heights, Johnnys on Fulton, Johnnys Downtown,Taza, Hyde Park Grill, and Blu Jazz in Akron. Recently, (2023) the trioperformed a concert for Ohio State Universitys prestigous Five NightsOn Campus series. Cliff also performs at retirement community centerswhich he considers to be some of my most important performances.As an educator, Cliff currently teaches at the Fine Arts Association inWilloughby. Cliff also became a piano coach to the stars when he wasasked to coach child actress/star Yara Shahidi for a piano playing part inthe 2012 I, Alex Cross movie. Cliff is also included in the Encyclopedia of Cleveland History published by Case Western Reserve University.The trio has recently been performing their popular tribute to VinceGuaraldi show which consistently sells out every holiday season.Jeff Slater, Bass earned his bachelors of music in music theory andfrench horn at Baldwin-Wallace University and did masters work inclassical and jazz music theory at the University of Wisconsin at Madi-son and Truman State University. Jeff plays both electric and uprightbass and is well versed in all styles of jazz, R&B, rock, and world music.Jeff also performs in the Firelands Trio and with vocalist Carol Leslie.Eric Everett, Drums has nearly four decades of drumming experience,studying privately at Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory and performing inCase Western Reserve Universitys small group Jazz and Big Band ensembles under Paul Ferguson. At CWRU, he participated in the Tri-CJazz Fest and was member of Cleveland 90s bands, Public Library andFive Minutes Fast. Under Eric Everett Jazz Productions, Eric leads theFirelands Trio and Elation Rs Restaurant, Rock s Journal UK,Drum! and DrumHead Magazine.
