Akron's wildly popular big band returns to the BOP STOP this season for a swinging concert event! The David Banks Big Band will celebrate the famous live recorded show featuring Sammy Davis Jr. and Buddy Rich in Las Vegas in 1966, which drew rave reviews. They will present some of the material from that very special recording along with pieces from both Sammy and Buddy’s repertoire. They will be featuring the talents of Cleveland vocalist Stanley Davis doing Sammy’s material, and legendary Ohio drummer Mark Gonder covering the Buddy Rich role!
