The foundation stone for the AEROPHONIC project was laid in 2023, when the German-Indian pianist, composer and harmonium player Jarry Singla was at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris on a scholarship from the Kulturstiftung der Länder.
There he formed a trio with two outstanding French musicians:
the harmonica player Olivier Ker Ourio grew up on the île de la Réunion, and has earned such a great reputation in the jazz world that journalists repeatedly characterize him as “the only worthy successor to Toots Thielemans”. Noé Clerc is a celebrated young accordionist who describes himself as an “eclectic musician” and whose artistic vision encompasses not only jazz and improvised music, but also non-European musical cultures, classical and contemporary music.Olivier Ker Ourio, who spent his childhood on the island of Réunion and has lived in Paris since 1992, is now regarded as one of the best jazz harmonica players in the world.

The German-Indian piano individualist Jarry Singla has always been a border crosser between the most diverse musical worlds. Several years spent in Mexico City, New York, Mumbai and La Paz have opened his heart and mind, while intensive musical collaborations in Buenos Aires, Katowice and Kiev have furthered his successful search for a way past all dogmas, for a fresh, fine and exciting sound between jazz and ethnic inspiration.
The influence of Indian music is particularly pronounced in his current ensembles: The trio JARRY SINGLA EASTERN FLOWERS with the South Indian percussionist Ramesh Shotham presented themselves at renowned festivals such as “Jazz Utsav New Delhi”, “Buenos Aires Jazz” or “Festijazz Bolivia”. THE MUMBAI PROJECT – created in 2013 during a residency scholarship from the Kunststiftung NRW – performed in major Indian and German cities, including as part of a production with the HR BIGBAND.
Jarry Singla’s work in the broad field of European jazz includes compositions for his quartet with the exceptional British saxophonist JULIAN ARGÜELLES and for the German-Polish-French TRIO WEI3.
In 2017, Jarry worked in an international ensemble with trumpeter MARKUS STOCKHAUSEN. Since 2016, he has been initiating visionary projects as a founding member of the musicians‘ collective SONIQ, whose guests include renowned artists such as MAJID BEKKAS, RHANI KRIJA, ALY KEITA and KARL SEGLEM.
With the support of the Kunststiftung NRW and the NRW Kultursekretariat, Jarry Singla developed the interactive player GRAMOFON, a digital composition game with sound modules composed by him. During the pandemic, the Goethe-Institut supported his composition project with the Argentinian guitarist Demián Ornstein and the Indian singer Sanjeev Chimmalgi, set in the virtual space between Mumbai, Cologne and Buenos Aires.
From November 2022 to May 2023, Jarry lived at the CITÉ INTERNATIONALE DES ARTS in Paris, for which he received a six-month residency grant from the Kulturstiftung der Länder.
In 2023, he was nominated by GEMA for the German Music Author Award in the category “Composition Intercultural Encounter”. A concert with the Ukrainian singer Mariana Sadovska took him to NEW DELHI and he performed with the Bengali sarod player Pratik Shrivastav at the LILLE PIANO(S) FESTIVAL.
In 2024 Jarry Singla performed with the Zurich duo ZUGLUFT Jarry in Switzerland and at the Multiphonics Festival. With CONFLUENCE the third EASTERN FLOWERS CD was released by Jazzsick Records.
Hailed by critics as a worthy successor to Toots Thielemans, Ker Ourio is not only a sought-after soloist, but also a brilliant composer and inspired bandleader. His music is expressive and warm-hearted, it emphasizes emotion and comes straight from the heart.
The compositions on his 11 albums released to date reveal a poetic world characterized by lyrical melodies, inventive harmonies and unusual rhythms.

Noé Clerc is a young, eclectic accordionist and composer. Since his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris (double degree in classical music and jazz), he has pursued his career in the most diverse musical universes.
In 2018, he founded the Noé Clerc Trio with bassist Clémént Daldosso and drummer Elié Martin Charrière, with whom he has performed at numerous festivals and won several prizes (Festival Jazz à St Germain des Pres 2019, Défense Jazz Festival Prize 2021, Jazz Migration Prize 2022). “Secret Place”, the trio’s first album released on the NoMadMusic label, was enthusiastically received by critics.
Noé also works with formations in France and abroad.
He plays with the French-Serbian group “Undectet Band & Magic Malik” (album “Frame and Curiosity”, Moon Juné Récords 2019).
In Israel, he has worked several times with the oud player and composer Habib Sheahadeh Hanna, who mixes jazz and Arabic music.
In March 2019, Noé was invited by the Alliance Française in New Delhi to take part in the “InChorus” project, which included an indie tour with tabla player Zahéén Khan and singer Ujwal Nagar.
Noé Clerc has also performed with renowned artists and ensembles such as Denis Leloup, François Thuillier, the Orchestre National de Jazz, Jean Marie Machado and Vincent Ségal.
At the same time, he plays with classical orchestras and chamber music ensembles such as the Opéra National de Lorraine, the Symphonie de Poche, the Orchestre Régional de Normandie, the ONCEIM and the Compagnie Opéra Eclaté.
Passionate and inquisitive, he is always on the lookout for new musical adventures. With the Hall de la Chanson, he has dedicated himself to projects that shed new light on the heritage of French chanson. Noé composed the music for the play “Pasolini en forme de rose” by the actor Antonio Interlandi.
