The vibraphone is one of jazz’s most illustrious instruments – with, relatively few people able to “conquer” it, which makes its legacy and genealogy all the more precious. Warren Wolf is poised to join the likes of Lionel Hampton, Milt Jackson, Bobby Hutcherson, Cal Tjader, Gary Burton and Terry Gibbs among scant few others such as Joe Locke as he makes his way into the instrument’s higher ground. The Baltimore native is truly one of the most gifted – and accomplished – all-around younger players in jazz today.
