Recommended for beginning to intermediate students, ages 11 through adult; three outstanding students from CAMP Blues will be selected to participate in the 2nd week of CAMP Blues by the instructors and awarded tuition to participate.

Join Sean Carney and the Sean Carney Band for CAMP Blues, a week-long ensemble experience focusing on learning about and playing the blues. The course will focus on guitar, bass and drums, exploring those instruments’ respective roles in blues music and developing participants' instrumental skills and techniques. Join Sean Carney and the Sean Carney Band for CAMP Blues, a week-long ensemble experience focusing on learning about and playing the blues. In addition, instructors will discuss other aspects of performance such as overcoming stage fright and developmental concepts such as building set lists and selecting material.

On Friday evening, CAMP Blues will conclude with a public performance at the Creekside Jazz & Blues Festival in Gahanna. The 45-minute performance will begin at 5:00pm. More details will be available during camp week; there is an admission fee for the festival for family and friends.

Please pack a lunch and drink – we will take a half hour break each day. Instrumentation is limited to guitar, bass and drum set (bring your own sticks). Some experience with your instrument required. Singers are welcome.
