Modernistics Trio, The Twenties Roar Again at Manchester Public Library Whiton Branch

The Manchester Public Library marks the centennial of the iconic American novel The Great Gatsby (published April 10 1925) with a show by The Modernistics Trio (Ted Powers, vocals, tap-dance, guitar, banjo and harmonica; Peter H. Bloom, flute; and Dave Zox, double-bass). The trio has been called "an excellent musical group…delightful! (Essex Daily News, New Jersey). They'll perform The Twenties Roar Again– swinging songs, tap-dance numbers, and jazz instrumentals by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and other master tunesmiths of the 1920s.
