Dan Peter Sundland - Electric bass
Bjørn Heebøll - Drums
Mark Solborg Trio has been underway for some time now. Often performing with featured guests such as Chris Speed, Jacob Riis and Lotte Anker - and recently with both Herb Robertson and saxophone legend Evan Parker. Some of the finest hours with this band was when they recorded critically acclaimed album “The Trees”.
This special Mandagsklub edition of the trio features the upcoming norwegian bass-player Dan Peter Sundland. His truly innovative approach to electric bassplaying is, in the words of Kresten Osgood, “Simply outrageous… ..you have to see him play”.
kl 22 Lina Allemano's TITANIUM RIOT (Canada)
Lina Allemano - trumpet
Ryan Driver - analog synth
Rob Clutton - electric bass
Nick Fraser - drums
Canadian trumpeter Lina Allemano, based in Toronto and Berlin, has strong ties to the improvising communities in New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Zürich, performing and touring regularly with countless important European and American improvisers in those scenes. Now she brings her Toronto-based band, Titanium Riot, on tour in Europe. Lina Allemano’s Titanium Riot is “imaginative… surreal… oddly compelling” [Wholenote Magazine]. Allemano was named one of DownBeat Magazine's top innovative trumpeters for the future and was recently called "one of the most exciting new voices of the last few years" [Point of Departure]. Titanium Riot is an accidentally-psychedelic improvising powerhouse with a unique electric-acoustic aesthetic. Called "uncompromisingly explorative" by Europe's experimental music journal Tokafi, the band creates episodic soundscapes and electrically-charged improvisational adventures that unfold with an inviting and organic ebb and flow. Titanium Riot's debut album, Kiss the Brain, was released to rave reviews as the band toured USA in 2015, and here they are at Mandagsklubben!
