For his residency he has assembled 4 very special groups that you can only hear at mandagsklubben.
please note that from now on the artists in residence will only do one set from 9-10 pm. this is an attempt at trimming down the program a little so we can have more bands before it gets too late... there will still be at least 4 bands each night, sometimes 5 at you will be able to hear amazing music until way past midnight.

one of the most uncompromising guitarists on the scene is Anders Holst. he has performed solo at mandagsklubben before with great success and also in a duo with the enigmatic Mads Emil Nielsen. A solo performance from mr Holst is always something very special. Musically he spans from the most melodic and pure rock and country music to the deepest avantgarde. noone knows what he will do on this night but we guarantee you that it will be worth listening to. come early!

OMG! finally they are back! this duo has been the talk of the town since their earthshaking performance at Christianshavns beboerhus last year. two of the most creative pianists in the country get together once more for the 3rd installment of Anders Filipsens april residency. they are both members of the ILK collective, they are both in their 30´s, they are both amazing pianists, composers and improvisors and they are both to be fund on stage at mandagsklubben on april 18t at 9pm. be there! This is why we have two pianos now at mandagsklubben

It looks like a duo but its really two short solo concerts.
Djupvik hails from Trondheim, Norway and is known from such bands as Ant Farm Boogie, Våldsromantik and Opp Opp Ned. He recently released the solo album Idiophonics on the British label FMR records.
Isak Hedtjärn is from Sweden and has been working working with Skrap, Lisa Ullén, Raymond Strid and Skrot & Korn. He is a central figure on the Gothenburg freejazz scene. make sure you see these two unique scandinavian artists. of course the only venue where you can hear these guys in Denmark is mandagsklubben

Duo Sub Rosa is a collaboration of Italian singer Elisabetta Lanfredini and Turkish Cellist Uygur Vural. The sensitivity to the folk tunes and inclination for improvisation are the main features of this duo. From their different musical backgrounds comes a music that is always on the road, which runs through the musical traditions of the Mediterranean, the languages and dialects and sewing with impromptu moments of creation, new arrangements and deep interplay.

we end the evening on a high note with the earthshaking duo Urano! they played a show last year at mandagsklubben and people are still talking about it. they go all the way. so this is one reason to stay up late and hang out.
