Bag pseudonymet MAM gemmer sig den brasilianske stjerne-DJ Marco Marinho. Med stærke rødder i funk carioca-bølgen fra Rio de Janeiro, trækker DJ MAM på funk og trap i et dansabelt elektronisk virvar, og har allerede fået gang i millioner af dansefødder i 12 lande på tværs af 3 kontinenter. Han havde længe været en kendt skikkelse på den brasilianske klubscene og spillet til arrangementer som Red Bull Air Race og den berømte Copacabana Beach nytårsfest, da albummet “Sotaque Carregado” (Sony, 2015) sendte ham direkte på World Music Charts Europe top 20 samme år. “Man kan ikke sige Rio uden samtidig at sige DJ MAM!”, hed det sig, efter den brasilianske DJ gæstede Roskilde Festival i 2015, og det siger ikke så lidt.

Når DJ MAM igen rammer Danmark til december er det for at udgive sit spritnye album “Sotaque Carregado Europa” (Sony 2018), som han har produceret i samarbejde med ingen ringere end den danske rapper Pharfar, den polske trio Sutari og den tyske pianist Gregor Schwellenbachsom. Med sig som special guests på aftenen har han, foruden Pharfar, den danske DJ Kenneth Bager og tropicália-eksperterne i DJ-kollektivet Epic Vinyls from Brazil, som i øvrigt lægger vejen forbi ALICE tidligere på efteråret. Der er god grund til at glæde sig!
