● Farvel ●
Not really fitting in with the dogmas and hierarchies of jazz and not really being good at playing it either, “farvel” slowly realized the music was trying to go somewhere else than where they thought they wanted to go themselves. They decided to follow this.
A sound embracing their unpolished unschooled messy way of playing, together finding out that it’s okay to sound like that.
Their music is at its core about letting go. It deals with the fact of constant change being a premise of living life and without being sentimental about this, they let the music be a celebration of this constant change and evolution....

A sound embracing their unpolished unschooled messy way of playing, together finding out that it’s okay to sound like that.
Their music is at its core about letting go. It deals with the fact of constant change being a premise of living life and without being sentimental about this, they let the music be a celebration of this constant change and evolution.
“farvel” meaning “fare well”, they deconstruct and reclaim the meaning of the word, not approaching it as meaning “goodbye”, but instead as a wish for a well onward journey - a mentality not only applicable to playing music, but to all aspects of living life.
Released in february 2024 as a part of the label movement shaped like a heart, “farvel” is their debut album - a testament to this.
Halfdan Magnus Stefansson - guitar
Gustav M.K. Lauridsen - bass
Jens Højbøge Mosegaard - drums

● Farvel ●
