About

We are hosting four special nights where we celebrate the 50th birthday of the great Danish guitarist Jacob Fischer. For this edition Jacob Fisher will pay tribute to the late violinist, Svend Asmussen. The violin has had a substantial role in Jacob Fischer’s life as a musician playing with artists such as Finn Ziegler and Kristian Jørgensen. A turning point in Jacob’s career was when he met the legendary violinist Svend Asmussen who passed away earlier this year, whom he played with from 1992 until their last recording in Florida in 2010. Accompanying Jacob and Bjarke on stage will be the talented young bass player, Matthias Petri, who recently returned back home to Denmark after having studied for a couple of years in New York at Manhattan School of Music. We can look forward to a beautiful celebration of the legacy that Svend Asmussen left behind....
