We are extremely proud to present the great Søren Nørbo as our resident artist in Mandagsklubben in March. Nørbo has been releasing consistently great and visionary albums for over 20 years now, from duo with church organ or trio with poetry to duo albums and trio, quartet and quintet. all his own music. he is a prolific composer, adding to his huge oeuvre on a weekly basis. He has collaborated with such artists as Django Bates, Joakim Milder, Kresten Osgood, Lars Skinnebach, Niels Præstholm, Nils Davidsen and Ulrik Spang Hansen.
Søren Nørbo very rarely performs in Copenhagen, which is a real shame.
Here we get the chance to hear him 4 consecutive weeks in very intimate duo and trio settings. nobody plays the piano like Søren Nørbo. In fact, nobody comes even close to composing and improvising the way he does.

Kyle Wilson has been an integral member of the improvised music community in New York City for the past 12 years. Wilson recently released his debut album as a leader, "Shwilson", featuring Lane, Hawkins and Tayar. Being natives of the American Southwest, Wilson, Lane, and Hawkins impart the warm feeling of a desert sunset hitting a 1950's El Dorado in their music. Ben van Gelder, fresh off a tour supporting his third album "Among Verticals", will be joining the group on alto for this date only! Not to be missed.

A duo of the month: Lotte Anker is the prime Danish reed ​​​player, improviser and composer that ​makes the Danes proud that they share the land with her; Tomo Jacobson is a double bassist of Polish descent but by now can we call him our own, a Mandagsklubben regular with a very strong sense of purpose in music. We've had them playing a memorable concert at Mandagsklubben a year ago and it is a great delight to have the chance to experience it again!
