Reuben Rogers Tribute To Oscar Pettiford (US/DK) at Jazzhus Montmartre

In 1959 Oscar Pettiford settled down in Copenhagen and made some legendary performances with Stan Getz and Jan Johansson (amongst others) at Jazzhus Montmartre. We also know Pettiford for compositions such as “The Closet” and “Bohemia After Dark” which now are part of the standard jazz-repertoire. On these nights, Reuben Rogers and a glittering selection of fellow musicians will celebrate the now deceased bass player.
As a bonus, before the concert on the 1st of April, Per Arnoldi will give an account of how a group, led by Hugo Rasmussen, managed to save and register Pettifords burial place before its termination back in 2010....
