This quartet consists of old and new friends who have all played together in a wide range of different constellations. The musical focus is here the compositions by the Danish tenor saxophonist and legend Bent Jædig whom every member of this group have a strong connection to.

Bent Jædig was a prominent representative of the bebop jazz and has had enormous impact on the Danish and international jazz scene. This evening, he is celebrated by four of his close colleagues. The eminent Gilbert Holmström is born same year as Jædig and they learned to play the saxophone from the same Charlie Parker album. Pianist Ben Besiakov, who is one of the most creative musicians on the Danish jazz scene, was Jædig’s preferred accompanist since the 90s. The exceptional Kresten Osgood has worked with the jazz legend in Osgood/Jædig Quartet and has played with the sought-after bassist Anders Christensen for more than 20 years....
