STEVE JAMES, known is his long time home state of Texas as an “underground legend” and a “true Americana hero”, has found an audience world wide for his original brand of roots music and basic blues. His solo performances deliver equal parts of hot guitar, slide guitar and bluesy mandolin, experienced song craft, humor, energy, and true tales from a life spent on the road. Another lesson learned was the value of sharing the music, and part of Steve James’ profile with music fans around the globe comes from his books and video lessons and literally hundreds of live, hands-on workshops. “A lot of my audience can play themselves” he says. “And I like it that way. It keeps you honest!”

Now based in Seattle, Steve James, as part of his 2022 Europe tour, will stop at Mojo on Sunday, 23/10 for an afternoon guitar workshop and live sets that evening.
