Vinterjazz på Det Italienske Kulturinstitut at Copenhagen Jazz Festival

Wednesday 8th of February 2023 at 7 p.m. the pianist Niels Balle (DK) and trumpeter Randi Holum (NO) will play at the "Italian Cultural Institute", Gjørlingsvej 9, in Hellerup.

The music is mostly from the CD "The Mystery of Nature" (Gateway 2017) and is a musical journey into the wonderful southern European nature with inspiration from e.g. Orvieto, the Naples area and the spectacular Amalfi Coast in Italy. In addition, music inspired from Norwegian folk tunes and sea diving on Bornholm with the sight of moving sea plants.

Newer music will also be played, also inspired by travels in Italy and the Nordic countries.

After the concert the Institute offers a glass of Italian wine. It is also possible to buy CDs after the concert.


Onsdag d. 8. februar kl. 19 spiller pianist Niels Balle (DK) og trompetist Randi Holum (NO) på Det Italienske Kulturinstitut, Gjørlingsvej 9 i Hellerup.

En stor del af koncertprogrammet består af musik fra cd'en “The Mystery of Nature” (Gateway 2017) og er en musikalsk rejse ind i den forunderlige syd-europæiske natur med inspiration fra bl.a. Orvieto, Napoli-området og den spektakulære Amalfi-kyst i Italien. Desuden inspiration fra norske folketoner og hav-dykning på Bornholm med synet af bølgende hav-planter.
Cd’en “The Mystery of Nature” indeholder musik primært af Niels Balle, men også norske folkemelodier og musik af den canadiske trompetist Kenny Wheeler.
Der vil endvidere blive spillet nyere musik inspireret af rejser i Italien og Norden.

Efter koncerten byder Det Italienske Kulturinstitut på et glas italiensk vin. Det vil desuden være muligt at købe cd’er.
