A lot of people know Joe Rogers for his work in musical theater. He is an award-winning musical director, composer, and pianist who made magic at Fort Worth theaters for over 20 years...what they may not know is that he has been writing and performing modern jazz for twice that long. Joe led the legendary local band Master Cylinder through the 70’s and 80’s, and released two LPs of his music. The 90’s found him working with local jazz stars like Rachella Parks, Tom Braxton, Clockwork, and then full-time as Musical Director for Jubilee Theatre. Since his retirement from Jubilee Theatre, Joe has focused on writing new music but has also worked with Hip Pocket Theater on several recent productions.
