Sammons Jazz: A Night Of Vocal Ease at Sammons Center For The Arts

Chris McGuire leads his group, the Chris McGuire Quintet, in an opening set that brings out the humor in jazz by way of hard-swingin’ music with vocals and blowin’. The group performs songs from jazz greats such as Louis Jordan, Jon Hendricks, and Lionel Hampton. The Satin Dolls Band is an all-female jazz quintet formed to celebrate 20th-century women singers, composers, and lyricists.
