Tchaikovsky’s beautiful Serenade for Strings anchors this program, which also features piano, percussion, and groundbreaking works by American masters. Kyle Orth, winner of the Dallas International Piano Competition, joins the orchestra on Franz Waxman's Goyana Sketches. The concert begins with Samuel Barber's Serenade, opus one. Richard McKay conducts this concert at Moody Performance Hall in the downtown Dallas Arts District.
