Alphonso Sanders is coming from Mississippi bringing with him his Mississippi musical roots. He has performed regionally, nationally and internationally at many recognized festivals including the Lucerne Blues Festival, The North Sea Festival and the Montreaux Jazz Festival. He has a PHD in music.
Jennifer Martin, an understated, classy and somewhat torchy singer, has a clear voice and makes each ballad and jazzy up tempo tune her very own.
Larry Lampkin is known for his passionate vocals, hot guitar licks and exciting showman-ship. He has crafted his own brand of blues with elements o f soul, funk, rock and country – a most exciting new artist.
Carolyn Lee Jones is an accomplished vocalist with an open, easy , smooth and classy style with an outstanding repertoire with musicians of the terrific variety backing her up.
Funky Knuckles’ mission is to “perform the music we hear and that comes out of us naturally.” So far the natural sound has the Knuckles going places.
Miss Marcy and Her Texas Sugar Daddy’s. She is known for her mesmerizing stage performance derived from the early 20th century Divas including Bessie Smith and Big Mama Thornton. An entertainer, not just a singer.
Shelley Carrol is a critically acclaimed saxophonist and former One O’Clock Lab Band member. He has played with Nancy Wilson, Tony Bennett, and the Duke Ellington Orchestra. He teaches part-time and gives clinic as he is able.
Shoot Low Sheriff combines strings, horns and piano, recapturing the sound of the Southern dancehalls of the ‘30s and ‘40s. They add equal parts urban and rural, sophisticated and rustic, to a playlist of classics and original songs.
The Arts & Crafts Fair will feature the art work of Sam Fuller, grand prize winner of the Celebrate Community Arts contest sponsored by Frito Lay. Other booths will showcase a variety of handmade products including bat houses, soap and bath products, ceramics, candles, jewelry, quillos, yard art, and other arts & crafts. A food court will be available.
