Getting back to the essence of Afrobeat is the central aim of Femi Kuti, the world-renowned Nigerian singer. Continuing and evolving the tradition started by his father Fela Kuti in the late ‘60s, Femi Kuti & The Positive Force blends funk, jazz and African folk.

Kuti, an Amnesty International Ambassador, has collaborated with Common and Mos Def and has toured with Jane’s Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ European tour. He has received two Grammy nominations and was inducted into the Headies Hall of Fame (the most prestigious music awards in Nigeria). He continues to expand the diversity of his artistry on his new album No Place for My Dream.
