Formed at the every end of the 1990s, the group quickly gained recognition for their distinctive blend of melodic punk, post-hardcore, and pop-punk influences. With driving guitar riffs, dynamic keyboards, powerful dual vocals, and thought-provoking lyrics, TSUNAMI BOMB has captivated audiences with their raw emotion and high-energy performances. Their music often explores themes of personal struggles, resilience, and social commentary, resonating with listeners on a deep level and inspiring a devout cult following for their anthemic singalongs and dark melodies.TSUNAMI BOMB’s debut album, “The Ultimate Escape” on Kung Fu Records received critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone later naming it as one of their Top 50 Pop-Punk albums of all time. Despite line-up changes, TSUNAMI BOMB’s resilience has allowed them to release multiple albums through the years, including their most recent LP, “The Spine That Binds” on Jello Biafra’s label, Alternative Tentacles Records. Their ability to infuse emotional depth into their impactful and unforgettable songs has long established their contribution to shaping the punk rock landscape. With a longtime lineup consisting of founding bassist Dominic Davi, whose pulsating driving rhythms anchor the band's music, founding keyboardist/vocalist Oobliette Sparks, whose haunting melodies and powerhouse vocals add depth and texture, founding drummer Gabe Lindeman, whose thunderous beats drive the band's relentless energy, singer Kate Jacobi, whose emotive vocals lead the charge with passion and intensity, and guitarist Andrew Pohl, whose searing riffs and unforgettable dynamic tone elevate the band's sonic landscape. Over the years, TSUNAMI BOMB has evolved and matured while always staying true to their signature sound. Continuing to push boundaries and deliver an experience that is both powerful and unforgettable, solidifying TSUNAMI BOMB’s place as a prominent force within the punk rock scene.Kultur ShockMeet Kultur Shock – multinational ‘Gypsy Punk’ pioneers, led by an irrepressible ball of energy and good cheer, Gino Yevdjevich. Gino was quite the mainstream pop star in his native Bosnia (and the Balkans), when the shelling of Sarajevo began, trapping him in his family’s apartment for two years. He was finally able to flee, first to New York, then on to Seattle. – {For Gino’s harrowing tales of the war, check his upcoming interview on Jello Biafra’s Renegade Roundtable podcast} –Instead of reviving his pop career, Gino chose (a full plunge) to reinvent himself, reaching deeper into his heart and Balkan roots, and Kultur Shock was born! They began playing slightly electrified Traditional Folk, to a growing refugee audience, including many a dancing Serb. The fan base quickly widened to Krist Novaselic and Vic Bondi, among others, who then drew in Jello Biafra. – Then something happened –A year or two later, they debuted in San Francisco to a sold-out audience at the Bottom of the Hill, packed with almost all refugees and migrants – and a much louder, heavier Kultur Shock. Lineups hail from all over Eastern Europe, Seattle, and even Japan; with a much wilder, more theatrical Gino as ringmaster of all he surveys. A more punked-out, direct version of their close friends and cousin, Gogol Bordello, Kultur Shock mixes Balkan folk melodies and bizarre meters with face-melting metal and blood-pumping punk rock in a pagan cauldron of lyrical, obnoxious, and politically irreverent music stew since 1996.The band released its first three studio records produced by FNM’s Bill Gould on his KoolArrow Records – FUCC the INS (2001 and 20th-anniversary re-master in 2022), Kultura- Diktatura (2003), and We Came To Take Your Jobs Away (2006). Since 2007, Kultur Shock is self-producedand self-released on its own label, Kultur Shock Records. It released Live in Europe (2007), Integration (2009), Ministry Of Kultur ( 2011), Tales Of Grandpa Guru, vol. 1 EP (2012), IX (2014), Live At Home ( 2016), and D.R.E.A.M. (2019).So here to start is Kultur Shock’s Alternative Tentacles 7” debut. To break the ice and dangle the carrot for our eclectic Tentacle fan base, and reintroduce the now post-Covid Kultur Shock, as they head back across the Atlantic, for their main audience and festival dates, and Stateside down the road. “King” and “Country Mohammed” have been live show favorites for some time, and Alternative Tentacles is pleased to showcase them to our audience. With an all-new album is in the works, with hopefully more vinyl reissues of their past CD-only albums to follow, Kultur Shock is here to stay.Wheelchair Sports CampDenver's biggest smallest band.Combining humor, playfulness, middle fingers, and an undeniable love for the groove, Wheelchair Sports Camp is certainly not your average hip-hop act. Fronted by Kalyn Rose Heffernan - a wheelchair using, profanely queer and tiny rapper, with a very distinctly high pitched sense of humor. The noisey experiment was birthed by the DIY, combining beats with shredding face live. Playing shows in every place they could, the band has since stretched into theatre, performance art, film, public television, politics, prison tours, permanent installations, and who knows what's next....Dead PioneersBorn in the bosom of performance art and punk, Dead Pioneers is an Indigenous-led band unapologetically saying the quiet things out loud. Political, social, and cultural, Dead Pioneers brings spoken word, a classic punk cadence, and new ideas with a familiar sound. A Denver, Colorado, band, Dead Pioneers is rooted in creating and performing a sound heavily influenced by the punk aesthetic, with an edge built around class consciousness and a First Peoples perspective. Unafraid of tackling hard economic, political, and social issues, Dead Pioneers stands in solidarity with Indigenous rights, Black rights, Brown rights, Asian rights, Gay rights, Trans rights, Workers rights, and beyond. From original songs to spoken word with punk riffs, Dead Pioneers was created with a love of music, a love of art, love of a scene that saves lives, as well as the DIY disposition of just figuring it out and seeing what happens.
