Dave Honig, in over 40 years as a professional musician, has explored many styles and genres. While performing in N.Y.C. in the 1980's he held steady performing jobs at both the legendary jazz club Augies (Smoke) and Spanish music venue Meson Botin.He first came to Colorado to perform at the Aspen Music Festival where he participated in a Count Basie Tribute with Butch Miles. He moved to Colorado in 1986 to teach music at a  college. Since then he has amassed a roster of over thirty of the top musicians in the Denver metro area that he performs with in his various groups. He is known for his Jazz Repertory programs as well as his groundbreaking New Standards Project.His extensive experience allows him to incorporate jazz, blues, contemporary, & Latin styles as is appropriate to each performance situation.
