Pianist/vocalist Ellyn Rucker was a mainstay in the Denver jazz scene for decades. Her elegant bop and Bill Evans influenced piano playing and her sultry vocal stylings were recognized not only in the Mile High City, but also nationally and internationally. Along with her Denver gigs, she also appeared in Europe, including at the North Sea Jazz Festival. And she was featured on NPR’s Piano Jazz program with Marian McPartland.
