Karen's lifetime dream of singing professionally came true when she married her beloved Husband...renowned Jazz Pianist Neil Bridge, who also became her personal accompanist, musical arranger, director and mentor. The Bridges collaborated together throughout their 31 years on hundreds of musical arrangements, and some originals as well. Their most recent May 2023 recording with their 10 piece band is entitled "In The Key Of Music." For decades, "The Bridges" performed together with their various bands at jazz clubs/jazz festivals/private parties, special events, fundraisers, etc... all over Colorado. With her husband's love and blessings, Karen Lee Bridge is so happy, honored & jazzed to announce that she is carrying their music forward!Singing her heart out to classic quality music that has brilliant, sensitive lyrics from the Great American Songbook and beyond... Karen says that her Husband took her by the hand, and gently walked her into the center of the music... which is where she currently resides. Ron Bland has been a professional musician for over forty years, playing virtually all styles of music in every setting from concert hall to theater to the recording studio and at home on both the electric and double basses. Ron is on the music faculty at Colorado Christian University, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and the University of Colorado at Denver. Ron is the Musical Director for Bridge Music! Wayne is a headliner guitarist playing high octane straight ahead jazz, traditional classics from the great American songbook, innovative bebop jazz and original compositions. Some of his recent performances have included the London, Tel Aviv, and Vail Jazz Festivals, a United Kingdom Tour, and Hawaii Tour.. Doug has over 40 years of experience as a freelance Jazz pianist. He currently resides in the Denver area, performing with many of Denver’s finest musicians. He played the exclusive Moulin Rouge room at the Denver Fairmont Hotel backing such national acts as Kenny Rankin, The Mills Brothers, The Modernaires, Lanie Kazan, and Johnny Otis. He was the house pianist at the internationally recognized Denver jazz club, El Chapultepec. There he performed with a cavalcade of jazz icons, including Joe Farrell, Nick Brignola, Teddy Edwards, Buddy De Franco, Terry Gibbs, Red Holloway, Eddie Harris, Richie Cole, Bobby Shew, Lew Tabakin, and Pete CandolTodd is the Percussion Area Coordinator at the University of Colorado Denver teaching drumset and a number of classes in the Music & Entertainment Industry Studies program. Living in NY for a number of years, he worked with Gerry Mulligan, Dr. Billy Taylor, Bucky Pizzarelli, and he has appeared with and recorded with Jon Hendricks, Mose Allison, Freddie Cole and so many, many others.Julia is a Denver-based violinist and violist specializing in chamber music. Most recently, Julia has performed with the Lamont Symphony Orchestra and the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music. Julia holds a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Vermont, where she studied classical violin under the direction of Evelyn Read and was the recipient of the Lyman Rowell Award and Yandell Scholarship.
