Todd’s ideas always have great integrity, and this one in particular resonated with me because my wife Susan has made our home a peaceful and wonderful environment for our son Nathan, daughter Anna, and me. I was also lucky enough to have parents who gave me the best childhood and home life possible. Those memories always warm my heart.My parents were always supportive of my desires to pursue music and I am forever grateful to them for that. I’m sorry they won’t hear this recording. The first and last pieces were written for them within a day of each other. True Lou was written on November 17, 2020, which would have been their 63rd wedding anniversary. An Extraordinary Rose was composed on November 16, 2020.This recording is comprised primarily of compositions dedicated to the memory of my parents, as well as my cousin Steve, and significant friends and colleagues who are like family to me.
