With Paloma’s sultry voice and Andrew’s rich bass lines, their performance invites you into a world of whispered serenades, slow dances, and melodies that linger like the touch of a lover’s hand.Paloma RessPaloma Ress is a jazz vocalist and bassist that's influenced by the mysticism and colors of the American Southwest. She paints with her heritage of Indigenous, Spanish, and Anglo roots. Paloma attended Metropolitan State University of Denver for Jazz Performance where she had the opportunity to learn from some of the finest heroes in jazz. She began her professional musical career at 17 years old when she became a sound engineer at Dazzle Jazz Club. Currently, Paloma continues to expand her musical reach by performing across America as well as working with various jazz non-profits like Gift of Jazz, Denver Jazz Fest, and Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts. Andrew RoseAt Western, Andrew studied the double bass under the renowned performer and educator, Tom Knific, for five years. Mr. Rose was a member of two Downbeat award-winning groups, The WMU Jazz Orchestra, who released Travel Notes on BluJazz Records, and Desolation Row, who released the album Remember to Breathe on GVG Records. In 2013, Andrew won an outstanding soloist award when he appeared at the Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival. He has also appeared as a guest performer at the Monterey Jazz Festival in California, the Jazz Education Network conference, University of Idaho's Lionel Hampton Jazz festival, and many more. He has had the opportunity to create music with many great artists, including Roy Hargrove, Joe Lovano, Fred Hersch, Robert Glasper, Edward Simon, Donny McCaslin, Jamey Hadad, John Clayton, Andrew Rathbun, Christian Euman, and The New York Voices.In 2014, Andrew Rose moved to Denver, CO, where is a dedicated teacher and active member of the local music community.
