About
From bop to swing to stride, Larry Fuller - direct from New York City - "swings like a beast" and summarizes the history of jazz piano. His stunning command at the keyboard assured him the job as bass legend Ray Brown's last pianist before joining John Pizzarelli's Quartet until 2013.
Today, Fuller leads his own Trio and has received consistent praise for generating exciting and super-swinging performances.
All About Jazz's review of the Larry Fuller Trio's recent sold-out NYC performance states: "By the time Fuller's piano solo neared its end and he handed the proverbial baton to Thiroux, the slow head-bob was visible on many an audience member in the packed room, indicating near-universal acknowledgement that this was swing as it's meant to be."
