He has recorded dozens of albums including “Invitation”, “Overjoyed”, and “Compared to What” with the CJRO Big band, “Light And The Muse” featuring Eric Gunnison in 2018, and “Jimi” with Jeff Jenkins and Mike Marlier in 2019. Mike currently is the head of jazz guitar studies at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music.Justin AdamsJustin began performing at age twelve on the pipe organ at Denver’s famous Organ Grinder Restaurant. After studying jazz piano in college, Justin was Lannie Garrett’s pianist and musical director for two decades. He taught jazz piano and ensembles at Metro State University of Denver and has performed with Ron Miles, Don Byron, Fred Hess, Kenwood Dennard, Claudio Roditi, Candido Camaro, Jose Mangual, J.P. Torres, Wayne Newton, Chris Calloway, Rhonda Ross, and Conjunto Colores. He is currently a music teacher at Kent Denver School, where his ensembles have won multiple Downbeat awards.
