Musical Style: JazzNorma Tell & Sazón Music is made up of a variety of JAZZ with an International touch, and songs from The Great American Songbook are a hit in select different language and rhythm forms.Long ago and not too far away, The Al & Norma Tell Quartet, enjoyed a long-time highly successful career in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Norma and her late husband, Jazz Pianist Al Tell, of beloved status in Santa Fe, the "The City Different," worked in all the main venues there to full-house local followers amongst regular visitors from all parts of the world. Before moving to Santa, NM, Al played Jazz concerts with Benny Goodmen on the east coast and Canada. We all enjoyed hearing stories from that experience. After moving to Denver to be near her eldest daughter, son in law, and grandchildren, and after her husband's passing, Norma Tell began her own Trio in 2009 in Denver's DTC area, as The Norma Tell Trio with virtuoso guitarist, Ed Stephen and the late, great bassist, Dean Ross. Since then, Norma's group has grown and now performs in different configurations, per booking requests. Norma Tell & SaZón Music perform a repertoire of Jazz, Latin Beats, and American Standards. She sings in English, Spanish and Portuguese, thus highlighting the captivating International sound of Norma Tell & SaZón Music. The group looks forward to adding surprise guest artists to some of their upcoming performances . . Having Roger Johns on bass and adding Ron Jolly on piano and Chuck Schnieder on reeds rounds out all the right sounds.Stay tuned!
