He plays regularly with the Colorado Jazz Workshop and with the Blue Sky Jazz Quintet. He has played at a variety of local establishments with a number of musicians from both the Denver and Boulder area. He enjoys playing a variety of styles from Bill Evans to Oscar Peterson and aims to bring a rich harmonic approach to jazz standards. Bass - Derek WoodburyDerek Woodbury is a Denver-based double bassist who performs with a variety of jazz musicians in and around the Mile High City. He began his musical journey with the trumpet in grade school, and as an adult has become enamored with delivering solid and swinging bass lines.
