This March, the Squirrel Nut Zippers invite you to join them for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration at the legendary Stanley Hotel — the inspiration for Stephen King’s The Shining and one of America’s most famously haunted landmarks. Step into The Afterlife (and into the swing) as the Zippers mark the 30th anniversary of their platinum-selling album “Hot” with TWO special concerts, each featuring the band performing “Hot” in its entirety, along with other favorites from their storied catalog.

But the concerts are only part of the story… the weekend also features a series of immersive Afterlife events that capture the wild spirit of New Orleans and the Zippers’ offbeat charm. On Friday, March 20, the band turns up the heat with the Late Night New Orleans Throw Down — a raucous afterparty that channels the energy of a sweaty, late-night club on Frenchmen Street, New Orleans. Expect horns, heat, and hijinks — with dancing and carrying on highly encouraged.

The celebration continues for hotel guests on Saturday, March 21 with the New Orleans Jazz Brunch, where members of SNZ — performing as The Back O' Town Allstars — will serve up a lively helping of Crescent City soul. Horns, drums, and Bloody Marys will flow freely as guests soak up that unmistakable New Orleans flavor. Immediately following brunch, hotel guests will enjoy an exclusive meet & greet with the band, featuring photo ops and signing opportunities.

Throughout the weekend, guests can explore exclusive merchandise only available at this event — including limited-edition posters, shirts, and vinyl — plus special screenings of Fleischer Studios groundbreaking cartoons (Max Fleischer - originator of Betty Boop, KoKo The Clown, and so many more), a perfect visual companion to the Zippers’ vintage sound.
