The first time that a Slackers’ album has charted! Ironically after 30 years as a band, they qualified as a Billboard ‘new artist!’ The Washington Post noted that the Slackers “remain at the top of their game.”In 2024 the Slackers continued this momentum with 93 live shows of which 18 were sell outs. They also released a single, “What We Gonna Do Now / Pick + Choose” (Pirates Press) and reissued their classic album from 2003, ‘Close My Eyes’.In 2025, they have booked 90 shows in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Their newest single, “The One That Took Away My Last Star” is to be released May 2024 on Pirates Press Records. This will be a posthumous collaboration with / and tribute to the late, great Greg Lee of Hepcat.
