Looking for something holiday-ish, but neither expensive, stressful, or totally cheesy? Are you a fan of the music from 'A Charlie Brown Christmas'? Join John Hines & Donna DeVine for a seasonal jazz gig at La Cour, Denver's Art & Wine Bar, on Friday, Dec 11. We tried to shmush a larger band into that place on that little stage the last time we played there, and found that it just works better to have a small, intimate kind of show.

So, we will be doing pure, unadulterated jazz and Christmas tunes, with a killer pianist (Olivias Rebolledo), trombone (John Hines), and vocal (Donna DeVine). For those who are used to our bigger shows with more instruments, bigger arrangements, etc., this will be quite a bit different. More like sitting around the living room, with not a ton of seats, and making real music. Lots of holiday jazz tunes, standards, etc. Lots of vocals and fun.

The food at La Cour is french country fare, and super reasonably priced. The HUGE wine list and drinks are just as cheap, so it's a cool option for your Friday night dinner and drinks. We'll be there thru the evening, 7pm-10pm. NO COVER. You may want to make a reservation to ensure a seat.
