June 29th, the dynamic Engelken pairs up with a powerhouse trio in Denver. Together the Quartet will perform works from Engelken's rollercoaster repertoire.

The program will include the premiere of new works plus selections from Lisa’s highly-anticipated album "Little Warrior," scheduled for release in Fall 2013.

The Quartet will also perform tracks from "Caravan," named to the “Best of 2010” List by the Jazz Journalists Association. Engelken produced and arranged all ten tracks on Caravan: bold adaptations of swing and jazz standards, Brazilian and contemporary tunes by Billy Idol and Joni Mitchell, and includes "From the Earth,” Lisa’s lyric version of Freddie Hubbard's jazz-funk classic "Red Clay.”
