MHCB Spring Concert Featuring Jim Mick at Red Rocks Community College - Community Room

The Mile High Community Band presents its Spring Concert featuring Colorado Jazz composer Jim Mick. At 6:00 pm the Brass Quintet will perform the Second Military Suite in F by Gustav Holst. The Jazz Combo (6:30 pm) will play Take The "A" Train by Duke Ellington, Samba De Orfeu by Luiz Bonfa and Antonio Maria, Maiden Voyage by Herbie Hancock, and more. Colorado Composer Jim Mick will be on the program for the the big Jazz Band (7:00 pm). He will conduct his Last Ride of the Riltney Rangers, Dr. Downstairs, Blues for the Pope and Captain Freedom - At Large. The Concert Band will also play the William Tell Overture by Gioacchino Rossini, Bugler's Holiday by Leroy Anderson and other pieces. Admission is free with thanks to the Jefferson County Science and Cultural Facilities District, North High School and Red Rocks Community College.
