Multi-instrumentalist Dave Wiley is a Boulder legend. Naropa graduate, recording artist, composer, arranger and leader of two outrageous bands, Hamster Theatre and Thinking Plague, both featuring Dave’s compositions which reflect a wide musical, geographic and sociological intellect—post-modern fusion. His bands have toured the United States, Europe and Japan. He has released numerous critically-acclaimed CDs, the latest being Carnival Detournement. "[Hamster Theatre] make up what is, in effect, a highly skilled chamber ensemble...the CD has a European feel, offering a literate synthesis of rock, jazz & European folk forms. Violinist Margarita Sallee holds a Master Degree in Violin Performance from the New England Conservatory and has performed as a soloist with Orchestras in Veracruz, Mexico, and was concertmaster and principal second violin in the Jalapa Youth Symphony Orchestra in Veracruz, Mexico. As a collaborative artist, Margarita Sallee has performed chamber music concerts in Mexico; Boston, MA.; Festival Shizuoka, in Japan, 1991, and Festival Europalia, 1993 in Belgium. She has also participated in community outreach concerts in Boston Area. Ms. Sallee's chamber and violin music coaches have included Masuko Ushioda, Stanislaw Kawalla, Mikhail Medvied, Eugene Lehner and Mary Lou Speaker Churchill. Since her arrival to Colorado, Margarita has performed actively with the Crystal Springs String Quartet, the Avalon Duo, the Amelie Trio, the Boulder Philharmonic, and the Sinfonia of Colorado and is currently performing in the Edith Piaf Revue at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret.
Kevin Garry has placed in national guitar competitions including the Northwest Guitar Festival in Portland, the Classical Guitar Competition in Seattle, and the Allied Arts Competition in Spokane. In addition to appearing as featured soloist with the Colorado Music Festival, The Mahler Fest, and the Evergreen, WA, and Aurora, CO, orchestras, Mr. Garry has premiered numerous works written for him by such composers as Bryan Johanson, John Drumheller and Charles Argersinger. Recent appearances include solo concerts at the University of Wyoming and Puget Sound University, and performances at Ollscoil Luimnigh (Ireland). He is the author of journal articles on guitar history and the author/recording artist of three international CD-ROMs in the award-winning eMedia Guitar Series. Dr. Garry has studied with Charles Wolzien, Steve Novacek, and received his doctorate in guitar performance from the CU-Boulder. He is the director of the music program at Front Range Community College, is past president of the Boulder Guitar Society and has performed with Peruvian virtuoso Alfredo Muro and Irish master fiddler Manus McGuire. He performs regularly in the violin-guitar duo Avalon Duo, the accordion-violin-guitar trio Amelie Trio and the newly formed Colorado Guitar Quartet. His recordings in a classical guitar duo Felicity Meunch release in Spring 2014.
Britta Laree holds a Masters Degree in Music with a focus on Vocal Performance. At CSU and within the Fort Collins community, Britta was involved in myriad productions as a performer, stage manager, music director, director, and producer. After obtaining her MM in 2005, she moved to Denver where she has concentrated on the performing aspect of theatre while maintaining her career as an IT professional. Some recent performing credits include Aldonza in Man of la Mancha and Alice Beane in Titanic, the Musical with Augustana Arts at the Lakewood Cultural Center; Dolly in Hello, Dolly! and Silly Girl 1 in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast with Performance Now Theatre Company; I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change with Nonesuch Theater; and, the ongoing cover for Alex Ryer's Pure Piaf: The Life and Songs of Edith Piaf. Directing credits include A Little Night Music, Trouble in Tahiti, The Last 5 Years, Songs for a New World, and many scenes for CSU's music and opera programs. She has toured the show ‘Pure Piaf’ nationally and is currently headlining the show at Lannie’s Clocktower in Denver.
