Cjc Jazz Appreciation Month Concert at Fred And Patty Turner Jazz Center

In celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month (as designated by the Smithsonian), the Community Jazz Center of Greater Des Moines (CJC) is hosting six hours of local jazz on Sunday, April 7 at Turner Jazz Center on the campus of Drake University*. The day features up and coming students to seasoned pros including the CJC Big Band, NOLA Jazz Trio, John Krantz Trio, CJC Student Jam Session, Abram Miller Duo and CJC Jazz Hall of Fame All Stars. Albums and CDs from the Sam Salomone collection will also be on sale as well as refreshments. Money raised at this event help fund the many youth programming activities CJC offers throughout the year such as a monthly youth jam session, student scholarships, workshops, festivals and more...
