Bob Bowman--Bass
Bowman, a native Kansan, explored the jazz scenes on both coasts and toured the world with heavy hitters — the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, the Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabackin Big Band, singer Carmen McRae — before deciding to settle down in Kansas City in the late ’80s.

Jason Danielson--piano
Long an integral part of the regional Jazz scene, Danielson has had a diverse musical career performing with groups ranging from the Des Moines Symphony to Aretha Franklin to Orquesta Alto Maiz as well as just about every Jazz musician in the region.

Mark Grimm--drums
Grimm exhibits a strong respect for the tradition in Jazz drumming while moving ahead to the modern school. His ability to lock in and swing with the “loose tightness” of the master timekeepers makes him everyone’s favorite drummer.

Bill Bergren--Trumpet & Flugelhorn
Following an active career as a lead trumpet player touring both nationally and internationally, Bergren has directed his interest in Jazz to the Synergy Jazz Foundation. Synergy is a non-profit organization committed to enriching the jazz arts community through advancing education, performance, and community collaboration. Bergren continues to teach and play Jazz music throughout the Midwest.
