Growing up with a love for music, he experimented with writing lyrics as young as 7 years old. While singing in church throughout middle and high school, Jesse did not start playing guitar until he was 18. In his early years of college at Lipscomb University, he quickly realized that music would be a very big part of his life. While still in school he played around town any chance he could get. He graduated from Lipscomb University in 2015 with a degree in Public Relations. Following his college graduation, he decided to become a full time musician. Over the past few years he’s been “cutting his teeth,” playing any show he could get his hands on and writing song after song. As an independent artist, he has already released several projects. While also working on his own music over the last 3 years, he has also been the Music Instructor at an amazing non-profit called CreatiVets. This non-profit works with veterans that are struggling with PTS and they teach them to use art or music to help process their emotions. Primarily, he has been teaching guitar, piano, bass, harmonica and production techniques along with doing 1 on 1 writing songwriting sessions with veterans all over the country, but CreatiVets is always up to something new, so you never know what you might catch him doing! Evans’ propensity for clever, turn-of-phrase lyrics and unique melodies make him an essential topliner in every room he finds himself in. As a songwriter, Evans has penned over 36 songs cut by various artists, garnering him over 6 million global streams. Being an artist himself, he has released several projects under his own name, including his newest single “It Ain’t You It’s Me”. Evans has also made a name for himself as a guitarist and backup vocalist for direct support acts opening for the likes of Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Toby Keith, Cody Johnson and Lainey Wilson.
