Free educational concert for children with the Barefield-McMurray-Young-Keita Quartet. They'll perform works by giants of jazz in celebration of Black History Month in a mansion in Detroit's historic Palmer Woods neighborhood. Guitarist A.Spencer Barefield, saxophonist Dave McMurray, bassist Dave Young & drummer Djallo Keita are masters with international recognition. Concert includes works by Duke Ellington, Billie Srayhorn, Oscar Peterson, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk & other greats. Address provided with RSVP/reservations at palmerwoods.org
