Jon Tyler Wiley And His Virginia Choir at 20 Front Street

In 2019, seasoned sideman Jon Tyler Wiley began recording his first solo album. He played all the instruments himself, so when it was time to perform the songs live, he called up a group of his friends to rehearse the material for live shows, and the Virginia Choir was born. This diversely talented cast of musicians quickly forged its identity, playing energetic live shows drawing from influences as diverse as Americana, World Music, and good, old-fashioned, barroom rock and roll. Vents Magazine calls them “A group that you most definitely need to know, [performing] arena-filling, vibrant, soaring Americana goodness.” Glide Magazine says that the band “…contrasts alt-country and Americana with explosions of anthemic rock to make for a sound that is truly one of a kind.” Their upcoming LP, “Pictures in the Dark,” is due on March 28th. https://jontylerwiley.com/
