The Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival is voted as the best music festival in the UAE and the most popular in the Middle East. It is held annually at Dubai Media City since 2003, hosting hundreds of musicians, artists and legends, and reaping several awards for it popularity and ascending fan base growth.

Throughout its past eight editions, the Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival grew spectacularly including a wide variety of music genres and styles with a large palette of pop, rock, and indie artists; however maintaining the best essence of Jazz music.

The remarkable growth of the festival started in 2008, when Chillout Productions, founders and organizers of the festival, extended the festival days to ten days offering more venues and free concerts. In 2009, a new concept was introduced to the festival activities - the Jazz Garden, which hosted seven nights of the best Jazz music, featuring different themes and a variety of music of other cultures. In 2010 the festival witnessed the launch of the World Of Jazz concept, the first of its kind street music festival, which took place during the Dubai Shopping Festival at The Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence, with a large selection of artists flocking from all over the globe to share their talents with music lovers. As for its upcoming 9th edition, the Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival is scheduled to start on February 1st and tie up on February 18th, 2011 maintaining all its loveable elements and activities including the World Of Jazz with its amazing atmosphere and talents, the Jazz Garden coming back with a new theme, and the exciting line-up of idols for the main concerts that will, undoubtedly, score another success of the festival.
