Gediminas Karkauskas (piano) the brainchild of TheGinajazz and vocalist Grazina Pukaite team up with a master of improvisation the legendary Louis Stewart (guitar) along with Dave Fleming a Double Bass player who really knows how to swing!
Joining this line-up is UK based Steve Davis "the most musical of drummers" (Jazzwise). Stewart's vast experience in playing with some of the world's greatest jazz musicians means he is always eager to find something new and fresh and the hallmark ofTheGinajazz is just that. Singer Pukaite has a mellow jazz timbre with a laid back feel. Her performance of such songs as "Angel Eyes” creates for the audience an atmosphere both intimate and tense. The Beatles song "Blackbird" is given a contemporary jazz treatment to great effect. Gershwins "The Man I Love" is just one of the many surprises arrangements that Karkauskas delights in. Stewart and Fleming share a longstanding musical familiarity and along with the sensitive drumming of Davis the music is released into a harmonious unity with TheGinaJazz.
