John Keogh and Julien Colarossi met when they both studied in the jazz faculty Newpark Music School in 2009. Although they did not share the same classes, they quickly became aware of each others musicianship and composition ability and they developed a mutual respect for each others talents. However it would be a couple of years after graduation and well into their busy careers that they would find the time and inspiration to work together and develop a repertoire.
What sets the Colarossi/Keogh duo apart is that although they do perform some of the songs from the old american song book and form the Bossanova repertoire (stella by starlight, estate, manha de carnival, body and soul), they draw their main inspiration from pop, soul/Motown and movie soundtracks (My girl, lately, let's stay together, every breath you take, Tonys theme from 'scarface'). ...
